This update also includes a new (and improved!) 8 Ball Pool tournament format, including several new features! The goal of this tournament update is to make the tournament a little more balanced. Everyone can go for broke in any tournament, and it's no longer possible to find a perfect game. New Pool Balls This update includes new Pool balls, a new game mode (called Tournament), and other minor improvements. Tournament When using the Tournament mode, your dice will automatically roll for you when you enter the pit. You will need to manually roll when you exit the pit, so be sure to plan your tournaments strategically! Tournament Mode also includes better scoring and validation to make sure you don't accidentally lose. New Tournament Play Modes The Tournament mode includes 3 new game modes, which are designed to help you make better tournament decisions. If you choose a Random Tournament mode, you will roll for a random set of tournament details. The details can be set to only include or exclude single-game matches, and you can select the pool size, 8 Ball Pool, or Billiards matches you want to play. Alternatively, you can choose a Double Elimination Tournament mode, which will cause your game to end when you lose a game. If you select a Single Elimination Tournament mode, your game will continue to be played until you win your last game, or you lose 5 games (the default). Team Play Team Play is a new Tournament mode, which lets you play with a friend in real-time. This means your friend's plays will be shown on-screen and you can spectate the other player's dice rolls, as well as their shots and ball movement, but you won't be able to play your own dice rolls. When you add a friend, you will need to connect via the Game Center, and you will have to add them manually, in order to add their Game Center ID as a friend. You can find the Game Center ID in their player profile, in the About section of the app. When you are using Team Play, you will be required to have a second account setup. You can add the second account through the Game Center or through the 9th pArtner app. Team Play is a unique mode that works well for players who wish to play with a friend, but can't be bothered to wait for a game.
